Painting with a Twist Wrap Up

It had been far too long since I had organized a Red Tent event. Life just got so busy. And to be honest, I was having a really hard time just getting the very small limit of 5 people to sign up for each event!

But, with all these new & lovely faces coming to school every day with their kiddos, I thought it was time to kick this thing back into gear.

I reserved a private room & opened up the invitation to as many as would come. We had to have a minimum of 10 to keep the room though (& choose our own painting) & when I was only at 8 people just hours before, in desperation I invited a non-MCH friend & Theresa did too.

If you haven't been there yet, I recommend you pick a painting from their calendar & go! It's so much fun & they will make artists of the least creative of you! You can bring your own wine or beer & food so everyone brought a bottle & a small snack to share. We painted a beautiful fall trees scene & everyone had a great time.

These types of get-togethers are a lot of fun & they serve the nice purpose of breaking the ice but they aren't conducive to really getting to know each other well. So, most of the regular events will still be kept to a 6 person maximum. Remember, this is to facilitate real, deep & meaningful relationships. It is not meant to be an exclusive thing.

My hope is that each month different ladies will be available to sign up so that it's always a new mix of people. Consider signing up & not asking your best friend to sign up with you so that you are open to meeting NEW FRIENDS! Since that's what this is all about!
